Tonight’s speaker, Simon White, has been Garden Centre Manager at Peter Beales Roses with over 37 years experience in growing the nation’s favourite flower - The Rose. He has a passion for roses and likes to share this passion with others.

The late Peter Beales started the rose nursery in 1968 and started to specialize in the old fashioned style of shrub rose and climbers and Ramblers. Today Peter Beales Roses lists over 1100 different varieties which is possibly the largest collection of roses grown commercially globally with over 250 which are unique to the company and can’t be purchased anywhere else in the world. They have over 2.5 acres of display gardens at their nursery and Garden Centre in Attleborough, Norfolk where they showcase most of their collection combined with a vast selection of perennials, shrubs and clematis.

Simons talk is about how the late Peter Beales first became interested in roses and then will look at his particular favourite romantic roses.
